I have spent over 25 years in the Fort McMurray Catholic Schools family and I look forward to leading this strong school division in the next chapter of its journey. We have plenty of work to do coming out on what we pray is the other side of this pandemic, and we will continue to be a dynamic school division for our students, staff, and families.” – Natasha MacArthur-Poole.

The search for a new Superintendent of Schools began in January when Fort McMurray Catholic Schools Superintendent George McGuigan announced his retirement from the position effective the end of this school year.

As part of this process, the Fort McMurray Catholic Board of Education brought in an outside consultant whose experience ensured a full slate of candidates were considered for the position.

We are so proud to see that our successful candidate has been a member of our family for over 25 years already. The Board looks forward to working with MacArthur-Poole in ensuring our ongoing success and navigating the future of our Division.” – Cathie Langmead, Fort McMurray Catholic Board Chair
