Good afternoon École St Paul School families,
We reach out to our families to share an update on a message to all families on Sunday December 5, 2021 regarding COVID-19 in our school community. We will continue to be as transparent with our families as possible during these times.
Alberta Health Services has now confirmed this case of COVID-19 is confirmed to carry the Omicron variant. Please see this letter from Alberta Health Services for their confirmation.
As a reminder, the class and staff who had direct contact with the individual who tested positive were previously notified on Sunday.
Fort McMurray Catholic Schools organized a rapid testing program in conjunction with Alberta Health Services, Alberta Health, and Alberta Education. As you are most likely aware the test kits arrived yesterday, and we are continuing the process of sharing these kits with families.

We wish to remind you these rapid tests are only for those who do not have any symptoms of COVID-19 and this is a purely voluntary program.
Please remember to complete the checklist each day prior to attending school. If you or a member of your family has any of the symptoms of illness listed, please fill out the online Alberta Health Services COVID-19 self-assessment or call Health Link at 811.
