Christmas Message from Board of Trustees

We are thankful to work with our Board of Trustees. Thank you to Chair Cathie Langmead for sharing this message with our staff today.

Christmas is a time for us to rejoice and celebrate the birth of Jesus. It is a time of reflection and renewal as we prepare for the new year. It can also be a difficult time for many.

In this, the third week of Advent, we reflect on the incredible, and unimaginable, changes we have all dealt with in 2020. You have had to adjust quickly, be resilient, and work through a pandemic and a flood; all in ways we never dreamed of a year ago.

There is no denying that this has been a tough year for us all. Yet, you continue to inspire us with your ingenuity, commitment, and hard work. Our children and families look to you as an example of strength, stability, safety and hope as you bravely face the challenges that come your way. Thank you for your commitment and service to Catholic education.

As your Board of Trustees, we pray that as you safely celebrate the Christmas holidays and the coming of the New Year, you do so with the certainty that through faith there is always light. The light of true, abiding faith in our Lord and the message of hope, love, forgiveness and peace we have been given through the birth of Jesus.

“I am the light of the world; anyone who follows me will not be walking in the dark, but will have the light of life.” – John 8:12

May the Lord bless you, and provide you with faith, love and hope throughout the Christmas season. We wish you and yours a heartfelt Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
