Canada West Performing Arts Festival Choral (Grades 6 & Under) Champions!
Congratulations to the division 2 choir at St Anne School! They showed unbelievable perseverance to not just win at the provincial level, but at the Canada West competition too!
This group was recognized for their preparation, attention to dynamics, vocal control, and precision.
Choir Director Cathy Larson states this is an honour, especially in what became a shortened choir season, “Normally we would start a couple of weeks into the school year, this year we didn’t get to start until January due to the pandemic. At the start we could only have one grade, then slowly another. We couldn’t have it too big. Normally we’d be around 60 students, this year it was about 40. The students accomplished so much in such a short amount of time. The dedication of our students was outstanding. It is a lot of listening, practice, and work they put into this accomplishment.”
