2022/23 Yellow Bus Transportation

Requests for Yellow Bus Transportation for School Year 2022-2023 can now be submitted by parents of students that are eligible for Yellow Bus Transportation.

Deadlines:

Parents are encouraged to submit their request for transportation as soon as possible to allow for review and processing during the Summer. Once the eligibility is confirmed, parents will be notified by email with instructions on how to submit payment of the applicable transportation fees.


The deadline to submit the application for transportation is noon on Monday August 22nd in order to have regular bus service on the first day of school.


*Payment of the first instalment will be required before placement of students on a bus route is confirmed. Instructions on payment will be provided by email once request is received and eligibility is confirmed.

How to Request Yellow Bus Service:

Requests for Yellow Bus Transportation for School Year 2022-2023 can now be submitted by parents of students that are eligible for Yellow Bus Transportation by using the form below:

2022/2023 Request for Yellow Bus Transportation

  • Your request will be reviewed in mid-August, when the School Administration Office reopens after the Summer Break, to determine eligibility and availability of Yellow Bus Transportation for your child/children.
  • You will be contacted during the week of August 22nd with instructions on how to make payment for your transportation fee.  Students will only be assigned to a bus route once payment is received for the first month of service and subscription to one of the payment plans is confirmed.

Yellow Bus Service is only available for the following students:

Elementary:
Resides at least 1.0 km from designated school (K-6)
Service only available within school designated area
No bus service to St. Martha School
No noon busing for kindergarten children
Transportation is NOT available for Early Entry Program (EEP)

High School Yellow Bus transportation is only available for students residing:

Father Mercredi High School:
Saprae Creek/Prairie Creek
South of River – Middle School (7-9)

Holy Trinity Catholic High School:
South of River – Students in French Immersion Program

ALL other students attending High School are transported through City Transit System

Fees

  • A transportation fee of $ 410 per school year applies to all riders
  • The rate is reduced by 50% for the 3rd child and 75% for the 4th child of a family residing at the same address
  • The family rate reduction does not apply for the purchase of student transit pass

Fees can be paid in full at the start of the school year. A payment instalment plan is also available. Payment of the first instalment is required before the placement of students on a bus route is confirmed
