Welcoming, Caring, Respectful and Safe Schools

Students, parents and school authorities have responsibilities for ensuring welcoming, caring, respectful and safe learning environments that respect diversity and nurture a sense of belonging and a positive sense of self.

To support recent changes in legislation amending the Alberta School Act, Fort McMurray Catholic Schools policies and procedures were recently updated to clarify the roles and responsibilities of the school authority and principals.

The revised operating policies impacted by the new legislations are available below:
