Minimum age

To register for the Early Childhood Services programs for School Year 2012/12, the child must be the following age before September 1, 2012: Early Entry Program (EEP): 3 years & 6 months Kindergarten: 4 years & 6 months Younger children may be eligible for programming under Alberta Education's Program Unit Funding (PUF) for children with severe disabilities/delays who require support beyond that offered in regular ECS programs. For information on the PUF eligibility, contact your local catholic school.

Children registering for the Early Entry Program (EEP) will be referred and assessed for Speech Language development to determine eligibility. The EEP is designed for children with mild or moderate language delay or disabilities. An Occupational Therapy and/or Physical Therapy Assessment may also be completed if deemed necessary at the completion of the screening process. Assessment results may be shared between service provider and may be ongoing to ensure continuity or programming for my child. All assessment information will be reviewed in a timely manner with parents. Parents will be contacted by the school before the end of August to arrange for pre-screening.

If you do not know your designated school, please select this option and will contact you. Transportation services are only provided to the designated school for your area. You can register your child to a school outside your attendance area. However, you will have make your own arrangement for transportation.
