Trustee McKinnon Resignation

Fort McMurray Catholic Board of Education Trustee Tracy McKinnon has submitted her resignation to the Board, effective February 1st, 2017.

Board Chair Paula Galenzoski says her voice around the table will be missed, “Trustee McKinnon has so much knowledge in education policy, and a commitment to Catholic Education in our community that is unparalleled. She has provided exceptional leadership to our District through some pretty tough issues, and is a strong advocate for Catholic Education locally and provincially. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for her service to our District and community at large.”

Fort McMurray Catholic Schools Superintendent George McGuigan, “We would like to thank Trustee McKinnon for her years of service with the Fort McMurray Catholic Board of Education, her years as Board Chair, her time on School Councils, and Council of School Councils, supporting our students. Since being elected in 2010, Trustee McKinnon’s efforts, serving the needs of our families through her work with the Alberta Catholic School Trustee Association, was exceptional. On a personal level, her expertise in School Council, Advocacy and Policy, provided me with superior guidance and support.”

On behalf of the Catholic Board of Education, the students, parents, staff and community at large, we wish Tracy and family well as they relocate to a new community. Her dedication and commitment to all will be missed.
